The Road To Take

In our childhood, we choose certain people as our role model. They can be from our family, our favorite sport, a movie star, etc. We always look up to them for inspiration. We find something different in their personality which tend to attract us. Actually they are the ones who inspire us to be someone who will be recognized by the whole world for his proficiency in that particular field in which his idol is. The amount of excitement and enthusiasm which exists during childhood is unmatchable. But somewhere down the line, in India, all those inspiration and imagination fades away with time, just because your goal in life is not โ€œmainstreamโ€ in the eyes of your family members, society, relatives,

ย Blah Blah Blah !

Well yes this happens, and quite regularly. The role model of our childhood remains in our heart, but just merely as our favourite icon. We are unable to follow their footsteps because of the constant pressure (of failing in life) put on us by the people who, 10 years down the line, will hardly matter to us. Few have the courage to go on and establish themselves as they want themselves to be.

To take the backseat in your own life is quite weird. You just avail the road which your driver (or drivers rather) takes you through. And at the end of the day when you reach the seashore, you wonder what you did wrong all this while. You may have everything or you may have nothing, but a thought is bound to cross your mind about how it would have been if I could have taken that road instead of the one which I took, if I could have taken a turn right, or a turn left, or even if I could have taken a U turn ! May be I could have reached the shore by evening and not by dusk ! May be I could have experienced the happiness of a journey much better ! โ€œMay be !โ€

But thatโ€™s not how life should be. We should do what our heart says us to do. We should always follow our passion, and do things what we think we are born to do ! So this is a message to the youngstersโ€ฆto the ones who have completed their 10th or 12th and thinking about what stream to take, what to do in life, and also to those who absolutely have no clue about where their life is leading them towards. Donโ€™t loose hope, do what you think is right for you, never get bogged down by the pressure which will be put on you by your parents, teachers or relatives, and do not follow others ! By others I mean your friends or elder brothers/sisters. What they are doing have little or no significance in your life.

So put your foot on the pedal and accelerate towards glory, towards your real destination !

Hope you liked this ! Cheers ! ๐Ÿ˜Š

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and Iโ€”

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.

  1. Besh valo…
Road not taken! Reminiscence of our teenage imaginations… About ‘that’ road…
Such was the vivid description… It was not a very tough job for the sensible readers to get a crystal clear lookout abt the road taken & that wasn’t…
Thanks for taking back to those days…
